Should I go super short?

I'm 5'2" and I'm 120 lbs, I have shoulder length dirty blonde/light brown hair. I have blue eyes and I'm 22. How could I know if a super short hair cut would look good on me? And would it be easy to take care of while running after my 1 year old? I've always wanted to go supershort, but everyone in my family likes long hair, so I'm nervous. I just don't know how to tell if I could pull it off.

If you have a round face it probably won't look that great to go super short. If you have a heart shaped face it would be better. Try looking at pictures of hairstyles you like and see if your face shape is similar to theirs. Or try www.makeoversolutions.com and see for yourself!

You can try it and if you don't like it, wait a few months, and it will grow out. If you like it, you'll have to upkeep it which takes time and money. I haven't been to the hairdresser in over 6 months, since before I had my baby! I need to make an appointment, but I could never go every 6-8 weeks.

How fine is your hair? If it's like mine and it has quite a bit of volume and some curls, I would suggest not. I talked to my hair styleist about getting really short hair, and she said that it would want to curl up and it would be harder to maintain. (Her hair's like mine, too.) I settled with a little shorter than what I was going to get and I love it! I hope that helps!

I Had My Hair Cut Off And Thort It Wuld Be Realy Bad But I Love It ! You Never No Until You Try And It Can Always Grow Back, Do Short Before Realy Short And If You Like It You Could Get Shorter ! :D

Do it. If it doesn't look good, it'll grow out and then you know not to try it again. It's really hard to just guess what it'll look like once you get into really short lengths -- I tried to and still wasn't prepared for what I got. My avatar's not an awful approximation for how short mine is, although it's not actually wavy like that. (I cut it the summer before starting college, and I'm now 26 if that's a question.)

My experience: oval-ish face, somewhat fine and slightly wavy hair. . . looks 1,000,000 times better than it ever did long, and I don't actually do anything to it now. Wash, dry, comb, teeny bit of spray (only because my hair grows out in weird directions). . . less than 5 minutes total, I'd guess. It doesn't exactly have a lot of styling options at this length, but I'm fine with that.
