I have curly hair and I want to cut it short, but I don't want it to poof up. Have any suggesti

My hair is extremely curly and very frizzy. I'm cutting it because it's really damaged from when I dyed it and I've tried everything and it is still dry and brittle.

Here's a few pictures of my hair:

I was thinking of something like this for my hair, but I wanted a few other suggestions.

Layers and when you go to style it put some product in it and twirl 1/2-1" sections around your finger to get it to spiral.

Your hair is naturally curly the pic is done with a curling iron.i would recomend cutting it to below the chin get longer layers so it doesnt look like a triangle shape. It should be fine.

! i think that short hairstyle in that pic looks great! go for that one!!! but use 'leave in' moisturising conditioner and style it with mousse!

ok heres what i do:

wash it with mosturizing shampoo

towel dry

brush an part it

put anti firzz serum in it

them take some mousse and put it in, but dont scrunch it!

then i spray it with some hairspray so it doesnt get poofy

i dont blowdry it and my hair is pretty healthy

dont be afraid to straighten it ecery now and then, i know it takes long, but i do it at night and do a few touch ups in the morning when i straighten it.

my products [which prbably arent the greatest, but they work]:

herbal essences mosturizing shampoo [conditioner too]

garnier sleek and shine weightless anti frizz serum

herbal essences totally twisted mousse (purple can)

and whatever hairspray is closest =)

hope this helped! good luck!

ps. your hair actualy doesnt look that frizzy in your pictures
