Hair weave/extensions?

My hair is in the trasitional phase from a short hair cut. I'm sick of it. I'm considering getting extensions or a weave. What should I be aware of? How is it put in? Do they use glue or clips or sew it? How long will it last? Is it hard to take care? How expensive is it?

Hair weave/extensions?

There are several different ways they can be put in. 1 way is they sew them. They make cornrows at your scalp and sew the hair to the cornrows and they last about 3 or 4 months but u can go back and have them tighten back up. Another way is gluing them in, which I don't recommend. The glue is hard to get out of the hair. I have seen people cut their hair to get the glue out. The best way is Fusion but it is very expensive but it lasts longer than the others. They have a special tools that fuses the extension hair to your hair in tiny sections. It looks more natural than all the other. They also have to use the tools to get them out too. You can also by clip in extensions. You have to put them in and out everyday. And if you put them in right they look just as good as the sewed in ones or glued in ones. They are fairly priced. When you have them put in make sure the hair is 100% HUMAN HAIR.. That's important!!! If you have synthetic hair put in you cant do anything to. But if you get human hair, You can do anything to it that you do your own hair. Such as curl, color, hi lites, perms, and flatiron it. But all these things will melt synthetic hair. But what u get is up to you. Call around to salons get prices and ask them how they do it. Just compare and go from there!!!!

how its done is up to you, i say sew it, last about 2 to 3 mths depending on how fast your hair grows. glue will pull your hair out. and clips well you can take that out the same day you put it in. and it looks fake

I like to recommend clip-in hair extensions. They are quick and easy to put in, are available in human hair and they will not ruin your own hair as it grows out. Clip-on hairpieces are cute too!

I agree with some of the other girls.....glue will tear your hair....sewing is good if your not tender-headed....the best bet is to either by a fitted wig, or get braided extensions. Watch out for places that don't charge more than 100 dollars for these types of services...also, if this is your first time getting these types of hair, then before you go, take thorough pics of your hair texture, and style, so in the case some thing does go wrong you can sue the people (hopefully not) .....good luck!!!

Hair weave/extensions?

they can do all three of those and i wouldn't recommend the glue because it can break out your hair and the way they sew it in is they braid your hair down and then they use a big needle and the sew the weave to your braid not you scalp cause if they try to do that it will hurt and the clamps the use that for white people hair only and you can barley see those but tracks you can see a lot better if they are not covered real good

Hair weave/extensions?

Every question you ask depends on many things: your hair, the salon, the extensions, how long you want them in, wether you choose extensions or hair bonding.

If the salon asks you to buy the extensions, choose top-of-the-line ones and make sure that they are HUMAN HAIR! Don't ever cheap out on this step because that will affect the whole process.

They probably won't clip it, but they may glue or sew it. I can last from six to sixteen weeks, and you'll need some weaves during that time. It can get expensive, but it's an expense that, if you really want long hair, is so worth it.

Hair weave/extensions?

sweetie (you sound as if were caucasian

if you use glue and it depends how long it stays in. it will come out

(your hair) you need someone to sew it in (Professional)

go to a braiding place if you have any around where you live

if not come to bmore we have lots of shops for braiding hair

now it stays in for a long time up to 3mons you can wash it

and curl it if you get wet and waving hair or micromini.and sometime it can work for your hair or against your hair....
