1. Submission: You love him so much that you can do anything for him, what is hair? Hair can be regrown. But love shouldn't be blind.

See his intentions first. Why is he asking you to cut your hair...just because he likes it this way? What if you ask him similarly, say for his beard or moustache or for his piercings or anything that he likes but you don't, will he do it readily?

Liking something in your partner and asking for it and then reciprocating similarly, is 'Submission in Love' and is acceptable. But if it turns out to be a one way affair then it is 'Submission in Dominance' and should be opposed.

'Submission in Love' has been the way of lovers from time immemorial.

2. Self-esteem: Men and women are equal in all terms and both have self-esteem. Which is more important to you, your lover's desire (which may be a fancy and not a need) or your self-esteem as to why should you submit to someone's whims and fancies? You have to balance it out.

That would be unusual. It has been my experience that most guys like long hair.

i dunno, it would depend on the situation- how much i loved my boyfriend and how much i loved my hair. i would probably compromise and cut it somewhere around where i was comfortable that was also satisfactory for him. or i would cut it short, just for fun.

it depends on the person actually. Though its pretty strange as most guys like long hair but if your boyfriend asks you to cut your hair and u like your long hair, tell him that u like ur hair and would not wana cut it the way he wants as u dont like short hair and if u cut it only just to please him and make him happy, will end up feeling bad and low and uncomfortable looking at yourself in hte mirror. I am sure if hte boyfriend loves you lot and cares for you he will understand your likes and dislikes and will respect your feelings and not force you to do somehting that you are not happy and conformtable doing. In any situation, or problem, its very important to communicate and express ones feelings. Unless thats done, how will the opposite person know what you feel within. And once communicated, and things made clear, i am sure there can be found a good and mutual solution to all the problems. Take care.
