Why do you want to cut her hair? If its matted then yes, a uniform cut all over will let you start with a fresh coat. But that breed is meant to have a long coat, I know it sounds strange, but they can regulate their temperature with their type of coat and its meant to keep them cool. Cutting it if you don't want to care for the long hair can mess with her body's ability to regulate her temperature. So, the short answer to your question, yes, her hair will grow back.

During the "off" season, he has them sheared down to look like something that ran off the pages of "The Cat in the Hat."

Doesn't matter if they're matted or not, he cuts it all off.

Yes the hair will grow back but don't cut it too short. Small dogs tend to get cold easily and Maltese have very sensitive skin. Another thing to know is that dogs can get sunburned just like people. I would leave the hair at least one inch long. If you do have the dogs hair cut short, it's not going to look very nice. Maltese have the type of hair that doesn't look good when it's cut short. Definately have a groomer do it because of the sensitive skin. If you don't know what you're doing then you can accidentally hurt your dog and I know you don't want that to happen.

Hair grows back, regardless of breed. Some types of hair take longer to grow than others (guard hairs take longer to grow out than undercoat, for example) ... if you had a German Shepherd dog, for example, the shiny topcoat (guard hairs) would grow back, but it might take months or years. Maltese hair grows back fairly quickly and uniformly, so I would not be concerned.

If the hair does NOT grow back, then you're dealing with a medical issue and need to see your vet about it.

I think so, atleast for a while until the hairs grow back to long again. It is a temporary effect to a person behavior. It likes choosing a different clothing to wear on a day. Think about holloween party. But if you act out in with temper your own self will come back.

First women in their 30's and 40's are not old...They usually cut their hair short because they have such busy lives they don't have the time to primp and spend hours on long hair..I wore my hair short for a long time because I was in the military and having long hair was not pratical..Now though , in my late 40's I love having long hair..I can wear it down or put it up in a nice bun or pony tail...It is up to personal taste...I think long hair can make a woman look older than she really is if it is not properly styled or cared for or if she just wears it with the what I call...wicked witch look....

The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off! But to cover them up go to your local wal-mart and get Frizz-ease serum anfd put it on your ends then use a hot tool(straigtneror curling iron ect.) this cover them up but doesnt get ird of them

Sorry to infrom you but the best way to cure split ends is to cut them. I'm African American so my hair grows alot slower than say someone of Caucasian, Latin or Asian decent. My hair was sooooo badly damaged because I was'nt taking good care of it. My hair was a little past my shoulders and over half of it was ALL spit and damaged ends. It had to come off. Half of it was cut off. Not only did having a new do was pretty cool but my hair grew like madd! It's been over a year since I cut it and I get it trimmed every month and it's longer now than before I cut it.

Go ahead and get just the bad stuff cut. Then make sure you take better care of your hair, reduce the amount of heat ( curling irons and blow dryers ), wash and moisturize regularly. Find a shampoo and conditioner that works better for your hair type. Good luck.

It depends on what the guy looks like. My personal preference is for long, but well kept, hair. Some guys just look silly with short hair, especially if it's thick and will just fluff out like a dandelion. Thing is, if you don't like how you look, neither will anyone else, so you should do what you like.

Maybe not super short, but definitely get rid of the ponytail. The hair pulled back from your face like that is definitely not your style. You need a style that is fuller and more flattering to your face. And yeah, the soul patch should be larger. Just a dab of fuzz right under the lip looks silly, and like that's the best you can do.

I had hair down to my waist. I heard my cousin contracted cancer and she was only 10 at the time. I didn't think twice about cutting off 13 inches and giving it to Locks of Love. So, if you do cut it and you have enough to donate then I say go for it, because hair grows back and you'll make some little boy or girl very happy.

Hi Nicole, I'm not a guy but I've never met one yet that didn't like long hair and I've met a lot of guys. As to color, one of my sons married a girl with long blonde hair and the other one only ever dated or liked girls with dark hair. A blonde cheerleader was in love with him in high school and he wouldn't give her the time of day. Now that he's older, I know it's because he likes brunettes. If you are a natural red head, I'd never cover it up. You are very unique and will be noticed a lot more. We have a lot of red heads in the family and people are always saying how much they like that red hair but no one comments on the blondes or brunettes. However, hair grows back so if you try it and don't like it it's not the end of the world. I have teen aged grand daughters and they change hair colors like they change shoes. Some works out and some doesn't. From taking them to get hair messes fixed, it works to go from blonde to dark but when it's dyed dark it's real hard to bleach it back blonde w/o it getting orange or kind of greenish. I took one to Wal-Mart in the middle of the night to get stuff to fix her hair color so she could go to her classes the next morning. She was crying and I was laughing because hair screw ups are not the end of the world. I did the same thing when I was young so that's why I take them in the middle of the night when their mother won't. In my era, we bleached our hair out white and then used a different toner color on it for every weekend to match whatever outfit we were wearing so I've had pink, blue, lavender and green. How could I not be understanding with these girls and they are such fun. Ask your grandma what color she used to wear her hair. LOLOLOL So color it all you want but don't cut it all off is my advice. o.k so I just cut my hair to about the length of where my chin is. I always had long hair so don't really know how to style short hair any ideas

Just straighten ur hair then at the end turn the hair straightners at about 90degree angle.

If your hair is layered start from the bottom and work your way up to the shortest layers.

Yes...You can totally pull of short hair ,but make sure its below the chin slightly with layers,add bangs for a nice whispy look it dempahizes your roundness of your face shape...I hope that helped

Unfortunately short hair is not good for a round face...trust me, I have struggled with this for years. I have thick, wavey hair as well so I have to just let mine grow long...but, if you have straight hair...try some long layers that frame the face as this cut tends to break up the roundness of the features a bit.

If you do, I would not recommend a chin-length bob or similar. It would give the appearance of a fatter face.

I agree with the other entry. It makes your face look rounder when you cut your hair short. I've done it and hated it and have spent the rest of my life since then growing my hair. If its long you can always wear it up and off your face when you feel like it. Colour your hair if you need a change. Its far easier to fix a bad colour than a bad cut. Good Luck

Going shorter can give you a visual lift and let others concentrate on your features rather than any sort of 'hair sculpture' you may have concocted with longer locks. (I have a friend who spends more time constructing his nest on a daily basis than your local flock of bluejays.) It can also make you look younger and more rested. Plus, with a shorter cut, you can enjoy experimenting with different styles as it grows out. It's a lot easier to get your 'Clark Kent' on during the workday and your party on when the night owl in you starts calling!

i had the same issue. my long hair was always in the way cuz i didnt know what to do with it, it was always just up in a ponytail. so i decided to cut it short. if you go medium short it will only bother you more cuz you cant put it up. but there are alot of short hairstyles that still look fem. for example.... wynona rider, halle barry and jenna elfman.

I don't you think you should cut it, but that's just because I like long hair on girls.

It's kind of hypocritical because my hair is fairly short.

It's easier to put it back than if it were short. Short hair is harder to deal with, in my opinion. There are no ways to put it back.

you will definitly miss it at first, after having it long it becomes like a security blanket, so i say try to keep it on the medium side at first, than gradually go into the short.a look that almost everyone looks good with is the just above the shoulder length layerd cut. cute and easy to manage. than if you want to keep going, do it a little bit at a time... than again you can always just go for it, it is just hair after all... it will grow back. Unless you're going for the whole punk look, I wouldn't do that.

You can gtet short[er] layers..but you need to leave some space between them.

If you put them too close together, they will stack and stand out.

Then, you'll pretty much have a fashion mullet and hate it.

It depends on the face shape you have..

If you have high cheek bones or a square shape it wouldnt look good..

Stick with the length that you have..maybe get 1 1/2 inch between the layers that will look good and you can do much more with your hair like that!....
